The staff at Bikerhood.com is very concerned with keeping our community safe. For that reason we have listed some safety guidelines and resources below that every member should review.
REMEMBER:
Bikerhood is a public place so never post anything personal that may embarrass you or expose you to danger. This would include phone numbers, address, favorite local pub, IM accounts, personal email addresses, etc.
Members may not be who they appear to be so you should avoid meeting people in person whom you do not really know. Start slow, use the site messaging service to become familiar with your online friends. Then when you are comfortable, arrange a phone conversation with your friend. When you do arrange for meeting with another member, do so in a public place, preferably with a group. Also be wary of phishing scams, users that may try to seek out personal information such as addresses, credit card numbers, and social security numbers.
