Was able to get out for about 50 miles this past Sunday. It was in the low 40's and snow still on the ground. Roads were a little wet but no problems. We headed out to a local tavern and the bartender said it was great hearing us pull up. We had a few brews and a bite to eat and then went out to head home and there was a light rain falling. It rained on us about half the way home and it was COLD being wet. It was great to get out regardless of the weather.&... Read More
I awoke this morning to the news that we are looking at a major storm here over the weekend and possibly another to follow Monday evening. Will this winter NEVER end? I don't ask for alot. 40ish weather, a little sun, amybe some dry roads. Is that too much to ask? I ahve a serious doe of PMS (parked motorcycle syndrome) and need to get out. Everything was squared away on Saturday morning, the day AFTER my birthday. Picked up my new bike in mid 40's weather, cloudy with a fine mist. After going thru procedures (are you kidding me?) with the sales person, we mounted up and hit the road. I fell in love immediately. This bike is the finest riding machine I have ever ridden. Yesterday I signed the papers on a home equity loan, and due to federal banking regulations, I have to wait 3 days for the money. The new ride is done, sittin' in the shop, cleaned up and ready to go. Mid fifties here tomorrow and partly sunny, sure would be a great day to start adding miles to a bike with 6 miles on it to date. I'm about to lose my mind.
