Well, summer came and went with a rush; I spent most of it deployed here and there. I did, however, find time ta git out and ride while I was home...Jenn went off ta tech school in the spring, so she didn't git out much at all. She did, however, graduate from that 600 Radian she was ridin and took out Julia, my Vulcan 1500 Classic a few times and loved it. She's definitely ready fer a bigger bike; she hasn't decided if'n she wants a Sporty or Dyna, but I think she has her heart set on a Harley fer shurr. I was gonna give her Julia but she sez the tank and air cleaners are too wide ta sit comfortably, so I guess I'll jest buy her a Harley, hee hee hee...
After gittin back from Afghanistan in Rocktober I took advantage of the leave I'd been given and have been out a lot, mostly around town. I like ta go on long rides, but all my ridin buddies are deployed right now. I did, however, git out on the dirtbike and do some technical ridin with a buddy, but that day was cut short when I burnt up the clutch...hey, it's an old bike. Parts are on the way and I'm ready ta git out again when I git it back together, hee hee hee...plus, Marcus is deployed right now too, so it'll wait til he gits home.
As far as the winter goes, I'll still git out and ride when I can, although it gits purty icy here sometimes and that creates an obvious problem, so I pick my battles and ride when the streets are clear. Jenn should be home by January, right now she's deployed in the "Stan", so I think we'll start bike shoppin before spring. Lots of bikes fer sale in the winter, especially around Christmas, so mebbe we can find a goodun fer her and customize it ta suit her wants. She's a purty special gal to me and a great ridin partner.
