Privacy Statement
JTEC or “we� operates the websites Bikerhood.com and Bikershood.com(from here out referred collectively as Bikehood.com, BIkerhood, sites, or website). JTEC’s Privacy Policy describes the security, use, and distribution of personally identifiable information (or “PII�). Your PII may include but is not limited to the following information: your full name, email address, mailing address, telephone number, or credit card number) that you will/have voluntarily provide to JTEC when registering with any services provided for or by JTEC.
The Bikerhood Website is hosted within the contiguous United States and operates under its laws regarding distribution of PII. Bikerhood is not a general audience site, registration is limited to only members who are 18 years and over, no minor should knowing attempt register, nor will we knowing distribute PII of any member under the age of 18.
When a visitor or member submits PII they are voluntarily doing so. Any data that is collected is used for security, tracking, and site improvement. We do not, nor will we ever resell PII of our members.
Non-PII information is stored in user profiles, it up to the member to decide what, if any information is stored for others to see. There are Privacy settings available to ensure only as much information as the member is willing to share will be provided to other members or visitors to the Bikerhood website.
JTEC places cookies on your computer used to identify information about your Internet browser and your site preferences. Data in cookies may be read to authenticate user sessions, please keep this in mind when using public computers. Never save personal information on a public, or non-secured computer, or kiosk.
JTEC allows cookies set by Internet advertising companies or advertisers to use third party cookies. JTEC has no control over these third party cookies and Users of the JTEC websites should check the privacy policy of the Internet advertising company or advertiser to see how it uses cookies. Using your web browser, you may blocke these cookies, but by blocking all cookies you may not have access to certain features on our website.
JTEC may access or disclose PII or non-PII in order to:
(a) protect the safety and security of Users of the JTEC Services or members of the public including acting in urgent circumstances
(b) protect or defend the legal rights or property of JTEC or its employees.
(c) protect against fraud, theft, or deception.
(d) required by law, law enforcement, legal process, or government intervention.
JTEC will make every reasonable effort to protect the PII of our members. This is including physical security and network access controls.
JTEC may modify this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the law, or changes to our PII collection and use practices, such modifications shall be effective upon posting by JTEC on the Bikerhood.com Website. Your continued use of the JTEC Sites after such posted updates of revised Privacy Policy signifies your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy. It is therefore important that you review this Privacy Policy regularly to ensure you are updated as to any changes and have not objected to, the change.
When you voluntarily provide PII to JTEC, we will make sure you are informed about who is collecting the information, how and why the information is being collected and the types of uses JTEC will make of the information to the extent it is being used in a manner that differs from what is allowed pursuant to this Privacy Policy.
JTEC sites are linked to sites operated by other companies not affiliated with JTEC, including advertisements. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of websites or other services operated by third parties that are linked to or integrated with the JTEC sites or responsible for the privacy practices of third party Internet advertising companies.
Except as described in this Privacy Policy, JTEC will not share your PII with third parties unless you have given JTEC permission to share your information.
